The Switch from Gymnastics
A New Zealander by birth, Jaime Greene was a gymnast and rugby player. She has always had a passion for sports, having practiced gymnastics for ten years. Her family is athletic as well, and her sister is a competitive runner.
Her career in CrossFit started after her mom bought her a pass in 2013. She later became a resident in Abu Dhabi where she continues her career.
She competed in the individual class in 2014 for the Australia Regional, this was a year after her debut, marking her start in competitions.
Over the years she has now participated as part of a team, never one to let a “mate” down. In her track-record, she was at the top of the African leaderboard in the 2015 open.
She then won the 2016 WorldWide Open, being on the podium many times over her career since then. Even so, there have been hardships in her career. She dislocated her shoulder at the 2018 qualifying workout, compromising the rotator cuff. Afterward, she underwent shoulder surgery, with a successful recovery thanks to her grit and determination.

Despite bursting onto the scene only in the past few years, she’s achieved some great results. She won the open in 2016 and has had numerous other top 10 results, including 8th at the CrossFit Games in 2017. We expect to see more great results from her in the future.

A good team can take you a long way, from gaining a different perspective to pushing you the last mile. It can be the difference between make or break. It’s always a good idea to eat some carbs, before and after training, you can never go wrong with fruits. Still, best in moderation. That said:
PROCESSED VS UNPROCESSED
Exercise allows you to eat junk food with less repercussion. We don’t recommend it. Junk food will give you carbs but have low nutritional value. An excellent dietary habit will last you a lifetime, making it an instinct. You can see it as a chance to be creative when it comes to cooking.
When it comes to eating protein, as with other foods, unprocessed meats will get you further to your goals. Some people don’t eat meat, that’s respectable. We know not all protein supplements are the same, so we recommend going to a nutritionist. This will allow for a tailor-made diet plan that suits your particular needs.
