Pendlay Do-Win CrossFit Weightlifting Shoes
Shoes from Pendlay are designed in such a way that they deliver maximum performance while keeping your feet safe. This particular model of Do-Win sneakers is not an exception. This weightlifting shoe has been engineered in such a manner that the overall experience at the gym is a comfortable one.
At some point, if you get serious about lifting weights, you’ll want to make the switch from cross-trainers or running shoes into a dedicated lifting shoe. Is now the right time for you? Keep on reading to find out more about Pendlay Do Win Shoes.
Perfect for Squats or Weightlifting
The product has been made using leather, which ensures the durability and flexibility of the product. The shoe has been graded to be of Olympic level because of the presence of the slightly lifted heel. It maximizes the pressure on the muscles while performing weightlifting or power squats.
The effective heel height is a minimal 18 mm, making this kind of a mid-range choice among weightlifting shoes. They’re ideal for most kinds of strength workouts and are some of the best shoes in the category. Your search for a new pair of shoes is maybe done!
Mesh Upper for Breathability
The presence of nylon mesh makes it easier for air to enter the surface of the shoe, and that keeps the problem of sweating away. The design of the sole has strengthened its structure and enhanced the durability. In short, this weightlifting shoe from Pendlay is an obvious winner!
Straps for Added Stability
One of the best features are two straps across the laces that lock your feet into place and give you extra support exactly where you need it—in the midfoot. They’re fully adjustable for a custom fit, and are also quite durable.
If you’ve tried shoes with only a single strap, you may notice a difference in these ones.
17 Ounces in Weight
In terms of a lifting shoe, the weight of the Pendlay Do Wins falls right in the middle. It’s neither the lightest nor the heaviest and we find that’s it’s a nice balance. A bit of extra weight can help keep your feet firmly planted on the ground. But, they’re light enough that most people are able to turn over the feet quickly enough on dynamic movements.
TPU Heel
We love weightlifting shoes that feature thermoplastic polyurethane in the heels. This material doesn’t easily compress, but it’s also very light in weight. It’s resistant to abrasions and is very durable.
If you’re currently lifting in running shoes or cross-trainers, this may be the biggest difference you notice when making the switch.
What Do People Think About Them?

“These shoes are super comfortable and also very secure because of the strap on them. I used to lift in runners which seems kind of crazy now. I can’t believe I used to do that because the difference between these Pendlay Do Win Shoes is huge. Maybe the best lifter on the market today in my opinion.”
“It really makes a difference to have a minimal heel to toe drop when lifting. You’ll have a more stable platform and these Do-Win really excel at that. They are quite stable, and also supportive enough in the midsole and have helped me achieve personal bests in the squat and lunge.”
“A pair of top-quality athletic shoes with a ton of support at a very reasonable price. Not much more I could really ask for, except for a wee bit more durable materials in them. They’ve certainly set the bar very high. I combine these with a weightlifting belt and feel like I have all the support I need when going for my personal best.”

When you go to a competition, you’ll find that the judges check your belts, clothing, and of course what’s on your feet. You’ll want to choose gear or equipment that meets the standard so you’re not disqualified and you don’t waste your time!
The sizing of the shoe is the same as far as other sports shoes are concerned. The improvement in the design of the soles has made this a very strong and durable shoe. The most interesting feature of the shoe is it has been graded of Olympic class due to the heel. So, if you’re into Olympic lifting, then these ones make a reliable choice.

Customers are offered a warranty period of 90 days upon purchase of this particular model of Olympic-grade weightlifting shoe. In addition, the feet never feel any irritation because of sweat, as the breathing capability of the shoe allows the entry of enough air to the middle.
Very Affordable
If you’re a women looking for a high-performance weightlifting shoe, you can’t go wrong with this one! It’s extremely reasonably priced when compared to other lifters.
Leather + Mesh Upper
We particularly like the combination of leather and mesh for the upper of the shoe. This strikes a nice balance between breathability and stiffness/durability.
However, the leather does need a bit of break-in time and you may find that these shoes are a little bit uncomfortable for the first few times you wear them. It does get better over time though so don’t give up!

About Pendlay Weightlifting Shoes
The brand was started by Glen Pendlay who has coached Olympic weightlifting since the 90’s. He joined up with MuscleDriver USA founder Brad Hess to develop these new weightlifting shoes. The Pendlay weightlifting shoes have now become synonymous with “Do-Win” which are wider in the toe box.
This company specializes in only one thing—lifting shoes and they do it extremely well.
Do Win Lifters: Are they Good for CrossFit?
A common question that people have is whether or not these shoes will work well for Cross Fit workouts that consist of sprints, box jumps, rope climbs, wall handstands and weights.
In general, we don’t recommend lifters for this kind of workout. Heck, they’re not even that comfortable for walking to the gym in! They have a low heel drop which makes them perfect for providing a strong platform when lifting but they’re not ideal for running in. Mobility is certainly an issue with these shoes, but of course, they’re designed for lifting, not moving around in.
They also don’t have a ton of cushioning on the sole as the focus is more on traction, stability and support.
If you want a pair of Cross Fit shoes, you should instead consider cross-trainers, or another kind of hybrid shoe. A few of our best choices are the CrossFit Nano, Nike Metcon 2, and the Inov-8 F-Lite 240.
Or, just take a look at the most popular CrossFit shoe in the world: the Reebok Nano:
Can I use Do Win Weightlifting Shoes for Running?
That’s a great question and we’re happy that you asked. Many people want to know whether or not this style of workout shoe is suitable for running.
If you’re going to jog for a minute or two on a treadmill as a warm-up before your lifting session, these shoes are adequate, but it won’t be that comfortable. Anything beyond that just isn’t a good idea.
Why, you might want to know? There are a number of reasons why you wouldn’t want to use the Pendlay Do Win for running. First of all, they’re double, or even triple in weight what a top-quality running shoe is. They will simply fatigue your legs too much.
Secondly, they have a relatively low heel height, while running shoes are up close to 10 mm. This helps to propel the feet forward with each foot strike.
Finally, Do Wins are designed for stability when lifting and they have a heel that doesn’t compress under pressure. This is kind of the opposite of what you want when running. You’re looking for a flexible shoe that can absorb shock from each foot strike.
It’s for these reasons that there are certainly more suitable options on the market today if you’re looking for running shoes. Check out some of our top picks here:
